Christy Ramsey has service in his soul. As he notes, “I always like to help”. Christy serves young people, parolees, and others who take classes at Computer Corps (https://www.computercorps.org) in Carson City, where Christy has volunteered more than 10,000 hours. One of his favorite projects is the annual tech camp for kids 9 to 15. At the end of camp they are given a refurbished computer. Computer Corps is wholistic, providing more than skills training. Lunch is provided for volunteers and students, and there is a food pantry for those who are food insecure.

Christy is administrative head for the Presbyterian churches in Nevada. This involves mediating problems and applying the Presbyterian Book of Order for the Presbytery of Nevada https://nevadapresbytery.org. As a side gig, Christy hosts a weekly call in radio program, “Battle Born Tech” Tuesdays at 8:00 PM on KNVC, where he advises on a wide variety of technical subjects (https://knvc.org/sho … 813/battle-born-tech).

Married for 44 years, Christy’s secret to a successful marriage is great patience, adding, “I married someone who is very patient and forgiving.” The Ramsey’s live with a German Shepherd / Huskey dog. Like so many Mensan’s, Christy likes to read. Presently he is working through Liu Cixin’s “Remembrance of Earth’s Past” trilogy (The Three-Body Problem, The Dark Forest, and Death’s End, https://tinyurl.com/mr2f9k5j).
